BRACHIOPLASTY

armlift modelThe correction of skin and fatty redundancies about the upper arm is generally known as brachioplasty. This deformity is commonly referred to as "batwings" because of the webbing that is sometimes seen between the lateral chest and the upper arm. It is common after weight loss, but also it is frequently seen with aging and loss of skin tone. This deformity is not amenable to reduction by exercise, as no amount of muscular strengthening about the upper arm will cause this area to shrink. It is correctible through surgery.
