Associates in Plastic Surgery is pleased to offer cosmetic laser treatments at our new Aesthetic Laser Center.

The Center uses the latest laser technology to remove unwanted hair and reduce the appearance of "spider veins," broken leg vessels, "brown-spots," and common facial angioma and Rosaceae- patterns of redness on the face that occurs as we grow older.

Laser treatments are typically painless (mild discomfort may occur for longer treatments) and treatments vary from 30 minutes to several hours allowing you to return to normal activities after treatment.

Our center provides you with specialized laser treatments and expertise to return your skin to a healthier, younger appearance. Two experienced Registered nurses with over 25 combined years in Plastic Surgery operate the laser. They are supervised by our physicians.

What can cosmetic laser treatments do for you?

Permanent hair removal can be accomplished through a series of treatments. Typically 80% reduction in the amount of hair should be expected and the amount varies depending on an individual's condition. A series of treatments is usually required to achieve desired results with treatments occurring in six to eight week intervals. A patient may experience some mild discomfort but you should be able to return to normal activities the same day.

Visible and undesired blood vessels on the face and legs can be minimized or reduced through several laser treatments. The appearance of Angioma (bright red nodules), Telangiectasias (bright red blood vessels) and "spider veins," and Rosaceae (patterns of redness on the cheeks and nasal area) can be reduced with two to three laser treatments. To reduce the appearance of broken vessels in legs, vein injection techniques combined with laser treatments is effective in clearing unsightly leg vessels.

A clearer and smoother complexion can be achieved with several treatments, specifically focusing on countering the effects of aging and sun exposure. With the effects of environmental irritation, sun exposure, and the inevitable passage of time, our skin may develop unevenness of pigmentation resulting in "brown spots." A series of laser treatments can result in a clearer, smoother, and younger complexion. It should be noted, however, that laser treatments have little effect on wrinkles.
